Color Choices
We recommend working in CMYK whenever possible
for best color consistency because color laser printers are CMYK
toner-based devices. (While CMYK is recommended, RGB is acceptable.
Our current Rip handles RGB conversion quite well, so designing
in CMYK is not as critical as it has been in the past.)
Free Color Laser Sample Brochure
To see the quality of our Xerox Docucolor 8000 printer, and to verify colors print as expected, request a
free color laser sample brochure. You will have the option to upload your own file to be printed as a page in the brochure.
(IMPORTANT: IMAGERS
only accepts color tests for reference that are output from IMAGERS'
printers, not from other output devices.)

Color Accuracy
It is important to realize that CMYK laser output
will not match a Pantone Swatchbook display exactly. We recommend
the Pantone Color Brige solid to process guide. This guide provides
a more realistic view of the CMYK print results of the Pantone values
selected.
It is also important to check the actual values of
the color created rather than trusting your monitor. Monitors display
color differently, so you cannot always trust that what you see
is exactly what you'll get.
We highly recommend you design a test print for output
first to familiarize yourself with IMAGERS'
color laser print output. While every effort is made to ensure consistent
color output, please keep in mind that color laser copy printing
is not equivalent to an offset printing press.
